One of the earliest references to the town of Reepham was in the Domesday Book of 1086 where it was referred to as Refham which, in Old English, meant the reeve’s manor. Today, the town is well known as being a market town and it was given this status in around 1277 although other records suggest that it was used as a market town for sometime before it was given this iconic status. The modern market of Reepham still resides on the original Georgian site and it has been through some significant changes throughout its history.

Due to expansion we are currently seeking weekend staff. Main responsibilities include supporting both the sales and lettings teams, greeting visitors as they enter the office, answering telephone calls and registering applicants. First impressions are vital in this role, so we are looking for a well presented, confident individual with excellent communication skills. Previous experience would be advantageous however not essential. If you hold an interest in property and customer service we would love to hear from you.

Working in an estate agents was something I always wanted to do because I enjoy working with different people and challenging myself in a business. My career in estate agency began in 2007 where I worked as a Junior Lettings Negotiator for my family owned independent estate agents in Coltishall. After two years I was promoted to Lettings Manager and Partner where I helped to build and shape the future of the business. Three years later I sold my shares because I wanted to face a new challenge and I moved on to work as the Director for a well known estate agents in Norfolk.

I started my career in estate agency as a Trainee Negotiator in Teddington where I worked for 6 years. For me it was a fantastic opportunity because I have always been interested in property, particularly unique homes with historic architecture. Having built up my experience in estate agency I moved back to Norfolk where I worked for two different well known Country House agencies for over 10 years. Then, in May of 2014, I was approached by abbotFox who were looking to launch a Bespoke department at their fast expanding central Norwich office.

The great thing about the campaign is that it is the people of Norfolk who make the nominations and anyone can get involved. A special event is being held on Saturday 30th August for a shortlist of the nominations we receive which will be raising money for Break Charity and the work they do with vulnerable families and children. You can make your nominations through the Norfolk Legends website and it is a ...

Redenhall with Harleston, more commonly known as Harleston, is a beautiful town and parish in South Norfolk. The villages were well documented in the Domesday Book and Redenhall was seen as the main village with the name deriving from the Old English words for “reedy nook” which historians have suggested relates to the number of drains across the town. However, this changed during the 13th century when Harleston become more prominent and today the villages still remain as Redenhall with Harleston although Harleston is regarded as the main town. The town of Harleston has over one thousand years of history and development and the village is unique in that many ...
