It’s one of Norfolk’s newest towns, only transitioning from village to town in 2019 due to its rapid growth in popularity. Many people have moved to Long Stratton because of its convenient access to Norwich as well as Ipswich.
The former Roman road now known as the A140 takes you straight into the City of Norwich, and if you go the other way you’ll be heading straight for Ipswich.

On your doorstep, there’s the medieval St Mary’s Church which is known for its round tower and its rare 16th-century sexton wheel, one of only two in the world. The tower is much older than the church, in 1330 the church was rebuilt.

Beautiful countryside surrounds Long Stratton, making it perfect for afternoon strolls with the family or dog. Walking along the nearby, picturesque river Tas in spring is delightful with all the flowers, birds and lambs to observe en route.

The site has a gym, a sprint track, a fitness rig, fitness studios and even roller-skating. There’s also a soft play centre for the children allowing parents to go off and get fit.

It’s a great location for families with three schools for children. During school holidays South Norfolk Council puts on kids camp for the children where they get to enjoy an array of activities. There are also lots of out of school clubs for them to join, as well as activities like the karate club.
