Why Norfolk Property is the Best

03/03/2019

Of course, we are going to say Norfolk property is the best, we’re biased but let us explain to you our reasons.

Solid
Norfolk boasts many old properties that still have plenty of years left in them. Why is that? It’s because they were built to last. Flint is a common building material in Norfolk and homes built in flint can be seen right across the county. Early buildings were generally flint and cobbles mortared together, as the years moved on flint got used more decoratively.

Types
There are many types of property in Norfolk to suit all tastes. You could opt for a traditional Norfolk cottage, a house by the river, a seaside bungalow, a stylish townhouse, a Georgian house, or a Victorian terraced house; the list goes on and on. Norfolk offers more choices of homes than Starbucks does with coffee!

Land
Many homes come in nicely sized plots of land. Farm Barns are regularly converted into stunning homes which overlook seas of green fields. You don’t have to limit yourself to looking in the countryside for houses with land, in the city of Norwich many properties sit nicely in big plots of land as well.

Affordable
Compared to property prices across the UK, Norfolk house prices are affordable. There is, of course, the more expensive areas like Burnham Market but generally, Norfolk house prices are reasonable. Some locations like King’s Lynn and North Walsham offer fantastic property deals. Through the years Norfolk has attracted many Londoners relocating here, and one of the reasons they usually give is affordability.

History
If you like your history, then there are plenty of homes in Norfolk that can offer stories of times bygone. There are many Norfolk stately homes; one of them being Sandringham which was bought by Queen Victoria for the Prince of Wales in 1862. Sandringham, probably won’t be for sale any time soon but other historic properties regularly come onto the market. Not so long ago The White House in Old Catton was sold; in this Georgian house, the classic novel Black Beauty was written by Anna Sewell.

So there you are, just some of the reasons why we think Norfolk property is the best!
