Did you know that the official date for the start of winter is 21st December? well, that’s the official astronomical start. The meteorological winter starts on the 1st of December, and that’s the start that we at abbotfox like to go by.
Did you also know that winter is an excellent time to look for houses to buy for many reasons:
1 The property market can slow down from the end of November, right up to the end of December, it could be the perfect time to get a bargain.
2 Buying a house during winter can also mean less competition from other buyers, mainly because they’re thinking about getting ready for Christmas and have probably house hunting on their to-do list for January.
3 Everyone is less busy, which is great for buying a house because more help will be available. Winter is a time when estate agents, solicitors and surveyors have more time than they usually do in the busy months following New Year; that means more time for you!
4 House hunters over winter are also taken seriously; it’s common for estate agents to get many fun-time house viewers over the summer months, these are people who like to visit other peoples homes for design ideas or an afternoon out. People who go house hunting in the winter will only be venturing out for that reason and no other.
What Norwich houses are up for sale this winter?
The Shambles
Neatishead
A beautiful 3 bedroom self-build, with easy access to the broads.
If you love a stunning garden and enjoy village life, this is for you.
The Drive
Wymondham
A spacious home, so spacious it even has a cinema room! This home also has three floors, which gives plenty of space for its five bedrooms. There are beautiful views outside across the fields which can be seen from the pagoda while you’re sitting in the hot tub!
Poppy Fields
East Harling
Another five bedroom detached house, but this one also has two large attic rooms which could act as two more bedrooms. Every room in the house is spacious and has been expertly designed with family living in mind. Another home with beautiful grounds which can also be appreciated from the dining room with the bi-folding doors open.
Mill Common Road
North Walsham
Sitting on the edge of the pretty North Norfolk village of Witton is this lovely detached bungalow which sits on a generous plot of land. Lots of living space, four bedrooms and views to envy this is a gem of a find.
