Are you a good listener?
The ability to listen to your customers and understand their needs and wants is important. A good lettings negotiator never assumes to know what their customer needs, they go out of their way to listen to them and watch for clues in their body language. 

Are you resilient? 
Finding a customer their ideal property or tenants could take many phone calls, many conversations, many rejections. A good letting negotiator just takes this as part of the parcel and carries on regardless. 

Are you a good negotiator? 
You have to be able to negotiate well between parties of people. One party might be wanting one thing, while the other party won't budge until they get what they want. Your job is to get a happy outcome for everyone involved. 

Are you ambitious? 
All the best lettings negotiators are ambitious, they quickly want to move up the career ladder. The next step up the ladder would be to become a senior lettings negotiator, then assistant lettings manager and then lettings manager.

Lettings Negotiator  

Working at Norwich’s largest independent estate agency.

We are currently seeking a dynamic and driven, experienced lettings negotiator to join our extremely successful lettings department.

Responsibilities:

• Registering applicants
• Canvassing potential clients 
• Arranging viewings
• Negotiating offers between tenants and landlords
• Establishing relationships with potential landlords
• Arranging valuations
• Actively seeking opportunities for potential new listings
• Building trusted relationships with landlords, managing expectations and ensuring they are kept     updated throughout the letting process
• Working alongside the property management team to provide efficient communication with our landlords and tenants

Skills and qualifications

Minimum:

• 1 year's lettings experience
• Excellent communication skills
• Ambition
• Be results driven
• Be well presented
• Be committed to providing the high level of customer service we promise our clients
• Hold a full UK Driving Licence

Desirable:

• ARLA Qualifications
• MNAEA Qualifications
