Happisburgh is home to a distinctive red and white striped lighthouse, known as Happisburgh Lighthouse. It is one of the few independently operated lighthouses in the UK and serves as a popular landmark and tourist attraction in the area. has a long history dating back to 1790. It is also the oldest working lighthouse in East Anglia and one of the oldest in the United Kingdom. The lighthouse was originally constructed to help guide ships safely along the treacherous coast of Norfolk.

Happisburgh Lighthouse continues to serve as an active aid to navigation for vessels along the coast, helping them navigate safely through the nearby waters. It has a white light that is visible for a distance of approximately 18 miles and operates at night.

The village is known for its quaint and picturesque properties, many of which are made of brick or flint, in keeping with the architectural style of the region. These traditional homes may vary in size, from smaller cottages to larger family homes.
