Thorpe Marriott
Thorpe Marriott is located approximately 6 miles northwest of the city centre of Norwich and is a suburb of the nearby village of Taverham. Thorpe Marriott has evolved from an area known as "Area X" in the early 1980s into a popular residential area for families.
Thorpe Marriott is known for its modern housing developments, parks, and recreational areas, making it an attractive location for families looking for a suburban lifestyle. The area also has good transport links to the city centre of Norwich, with easy access via the A1067 road and regular bus services.
Although Thorpe Marriott doesn't have the history that Taverham boasts, such as an old paper mill that produced bank notes, bibles, and "The Times" newspaper, it still offers a lovely place to live.
Both Taverham and Thorpe Marriott enjoy being close to the city of Norwich as well as the surrounding countryside which provides plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities and family-friendly attractions.
