Banham is well known for having one of the largest wildlife attractions in the country. An award-winning wildlife park with over 2,000 animals from around the world set in 50 acres of beautiful parkland and gardens. More than just an attraction, Banham Park is a charity with primary aims to advance animal welfare, environmental protection and wildlife conservation.
As well as wildlife Banham offers a good community life. The Banham Community Centre organises many events and loves to welcome new people who have moved to the area. Banham also has its own Banham community group on Facebook; have a look and get involved with the locals before you relocate.
Banham offers regular village amenities, a church, a post office, an outstanding primary school and plenty of local shops, including a fantastic butcher shop. Banham attracted Katharine and Louis Falconer from Sussex who wanted a better way of living and to get back to nature. They relocated, then re-homed five alpacas ( one called Iggy Pop! ) and progressed to starting an alpaca farm! Their whole move was followed by a Channel 5 film crew and made into a program hosted by Kate Humble "A country Life For Half The Price"
Katherine said moving to Banham was the right decision.
